Somark Group and Transnetyx are pleased to announce an immediate collaboration and a strategic development agreement aimed at serving the research community and improving reproducibility and efficiency.
With immediate effect and utilising Somark’s new Digitail Tag™ technology, a customer may now load a code relevant to the genotype directly onto the Tag from the electronic genotype record transmitted by Transnetyx. This will allow a record of the genotype to be carried by each and every mouse using the Digitail Tag™ and Somark’s SensaLab™ platform.
This is the first stage of a wider collaborative research agreement, which will see Somark provide an automated biopsy system and work with Transnetyx to automate the collection and shipment to its best-in-class genotyping facility for processing. Results will still be turned around within 24 or 72 hours using Transnetyx, depending on the chosen service level. This will create a unique chain of custody for animal identification and genotyping that will eradicate human error and create a new standard of accuracy and efficiency across the industry.
